    General
The CHU Sainte-Justine Allergology Department provides tertiary care services for patients aged 0 - 18 with allergies. In particular, it offers special care for the allergies of newborn babies. The department includes a number of clinics which deal specific allergies. In order to screen patients for allergies, cutaneous allergy tests (intracutaneous and prick tests), oral challenge tests (food and drug allergies), and other special tests are offered, such as the desensitisation to wasp and bee venom, and to antibiotics.

The CHU Sainte-Justine Allergology Department also performs clinical research activities especially regarding the food allergies of newborn babies, as well as allergies to antibiotics.

The 4 specialised clinics are the following:
Venom Clinic
The Venom Clinic evaluates and treats children who have shown allergic reactions to wasp and bee stings.

Vaccine Clinic
The Vaccine Clinic evaluates children who are suspected of having had an allergic reaction to vaccination shots.

Drug Allergy Clinic
The Drug Allergy Clinic evaluates children who have shown a possible allergic reaction following the administration of medication (antibiotics or other drugs).

Multiple and Serious Food Allergy Clinic
- Cases of eosinophilic oesophagitis are treated at a specialised clinic in conjunction with the Gastroenterology Department at CHU Sainte-Justine.
- Newborn babies suffering from severe eczema are evaluated and treated in conjunction with the Dermatology Department at CHU Sainte-Justine.
